Global Entrepreneurship Challenge

Scarsdale High School supports the Sustainable Development Goals
Congrats and Thank You!
This year, we celebrated global innovation on May 20th, with 5 groups presenting their product solutions for solving SDG 12: Global Consumption and Production

Thank you to all the participating schools, students, and experts!
See you again next year!
Think Global, Act Local
The Global Entrepreneurship Challenge allows high school students worldwide to create real social entrepreneurship ventures based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Teams will collaborate across cultures, inspiring a global community to implement a product or service on the world's most pressing issues in their local communities.
What is the GEC?
We are challenging high school students around the world to:

Identify problems in their local community that address the UN’s SDG 12

Create an innovative, actionable solution to those problems

Implement and measure the impact of the solution
Our Global Participants Over The Years
We will collaborate across the world to help create lasting change.
Participants will find local opportunities to make an impact, ideate, and implement a solution to make a lasting change in their community!
Participating teams will participate in three virtual sessions, during which they will collaborate with other high school teams worldwide and gain cultural perspective and inspiration for their social ventures.
Two teams from every participating school will present their final solutions virtually or in person to a panel of experts in Scarsdale, New York!*
*Limited spots available
Who can participate?
-
Teams must be comprised of high school-level students.
-
Teams can be any size, with an ideal grouping of 4-6 students per team. For teams interested in attending the in-person event, we ask facilitators to limit group sizes to 6 students.
-
Participation in any number of teams is acceptable, and two presentation spots will be given per school for the Global Summit.
-
All participating groups will be asked to attend all three Zoom sessions and complete all necessary work before each session.
