To achieve innovative outcomes, we believe that products and services must fulfill three essential criteria:
Desirability: Developing products that cater to people's wants and needs.
Feasibility: Designing products that are practical, functional, and sustainable.
Viability: Ensuring the product's value exceeds its production costs.
In each of our courses, we emphasize one or more of these fundamental criteria to empower students to create truly transformative solutions.
Our Philosophy & Approach
We believe in empowering students to solve the world’s biggest problems through hands-on, experiential, and authentic projects.
We do this by collaborating with community experts and leaders across New York to create and inspire projects across the program.
We believe students should make things that make a difference in the world.
This is why we use the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals as a starting point for most of our long-term projects.
We believe students need to think innovatively, feel compassionately, and persevere confidently to become changemakers.
All courses integrate innovative and critical mindsets that prepare students for college, careers, and life.
We believe students need a space to be challenged yet feel comfortable taking risks.
By focusing our challenges and assessments on product, process, and reflection, students have space to try new things, achieve success, and understand that growth is as important as achievement.
