Project Problem

Over 200 million people worldwide live with moderate to severe visual impairments, yet less than 1% of books are available in braille. Traditional braille tools, like the slate and stylus, are time-consuming, error-prone, and require users to emboss text backward—making braille creation inaccessible and inefficient for many, especially children.

Project Solution Description

ReBraille is a hands-on embossing kit featuring a customizable frame, lid, and modular letter blocks that align printed and braille text. Users simply insert the blocks into the frame, align the paper, press down the lid, and reveal embossed text in seconds. With its intuitive design and low cost, ReBraille empowers more people to produce braille independently and efficiently.
