Project Problem

This group is addressing the environmental impact of discarded denim, particularly jeans, in the context of fast fashion. Their problem centers on the massive overproduction and underuse of jeans—many of which are never worn or are quickly discarded as trends shift—leading to waste and pollution. From their perspective, even well-intentioned actions like donating jeans often fail to prevent environmental harm, as most end up in landfills where they decompose slowly and release toxic substances.

Project Solution Description

Re-Denim is a DIY upcycling kit that empowers users to transform their old, out-of-style jeans into trendy, customized items. By turning waste into creativity, Re-Denim helps reduce landfill pollution while giving fashion lovers a fun and sustainable way to refresh their wardrobe.
