Project Problem

Many school-aged children with fine motor disabilities find that writing is difficult, frustrating, and often inaccessible. Current grip aids are either expensive, incompatible with most writing tools, or ineffective for individuals with more severe impairments. This creates barriers to classroom participation and learning.

Project Solution Description

Stable Scribble is a low-cost, 3D-printed writing tool that stabilizes a pencil using a four-legged base and ergonomic grip. Its design transfers control from the wrist to the arm and shoulder, enabling smoother, more controlled writing for users with fine motor challenges. The device is adaptable, accessible, and easy to produce at home via downloadable files.
